Lending My Voice
Posted August 12th, 2008 by DeeB

In addition to my work with HIV Stops With Us, I also advocate for other women living with HIV/AIDS by participating in groups such as the Positive Women's Network USA. They're a new organization that is organizing to address the specific needs of women living with the virus. They are an amazing group of women, and I am privileged to represent my transgender sisters by sitting at their table and giving voice to my community. I also co-facilitate a group for people living in their 20s who are poz. I think building a strong network of educated PLWHA can help change the epidemic in this country. We need to work together to get the services and care we deserve.

Posted September 22nd, 2008Hi Dee,
I came upon this site completely by chance but your story in particular has inspired me. I am an Englishwoman positive for six years and am also now speaking out in order to STOP AIDS and doing everything I can so that people, especially women don't have to lead invisible lives. I have my own website and blog if you want to visit - I have a daft English sense of humor but it might amuse you,
Keep up the good work,
